Bessida team monitors sea turtle nests at night on Farwa Island

The Bessida Environmental Association team carried out a nighttime field tour on Farwa Island to monitor and document the nests of endangered sea turtles, as part of the marine life protection program implemented by the association.

The team identified nest locations and placed guidance markers to protect them from encroachment, while recording the necessary environmental data to follow the development of the eggs until hatching.

These activities are a core part of Bessida’s efforts to maintain ecological balance and protect marine organisms in the region.
